One Man Stopped Following Drug Discovery in Knox County Traffic Stop

Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested one person overnight following a traffic stop on U-S 50 near Fritchton.
Officers stopped the vehicle occupied by 51 year-old Lionel Bogard. Officers claim Bogard tried to flee from them before he was stopped along U-S 50. A search on Bogard’s vehicle found him in illegal possession of a firearm by a felon. Deputies also found alleged evidence of dealing in methamphetamine over ten grams.
Bogard’s previous felony count was a conviction in Daviess County for Dealing in a Controlled Substance. He was convicted of the charge in 2004.
Bogard was booked into the Knox County Jail on ten-thousand dollars bond.
