The North Knox School Board has accepted two grants from Duke Energy for use in Corporation schools. The first grant is for five-thousand dollars for the North Knox Alternative School. The other donation from Duke is for 15-hundred dollars for the North Knox Junior-Senior High School Book Club. The Board approved the donations unanimously.
In other business, the Board hired Mike O’Connor as custodian at North Knox Primary School. O’Connor will start working at the Bicknell-based school immediately. Finally, the Board approved second reading of federal NEOLA policy and guidelines. The mandated policies will now be put into action throughout the Corporation.
The North Knox School Board has renewed its Property, Casualty, and Liability Insurance with Vincennes’ Burkhart Insurance. The new policy is a five-thousand dollar increase from last year.
The increase is to cover five new buses added to the North Knox School Corporation fleet in this school year. The North Knox School Board approved the renewal unanimously.
