Plans Set Out for Work on Riverview Project in Vincennes

The Vincennes Redevelopment Commission heard an update yesterday on the coming Riverview project. The project is in three phases– demolishing the former Robinson Grain elevator, building a three-story apartment complex on the elevator grounds, and building 22 three-bedroom houses. The houses will be constructed on City blight elimination sites, and at McCormick Place.
Project architect Andy Myszak expects the grain elevator to be torn down in October, with Riverview Place apartments to start construction in November. The units are set for completion in late 2019, with the first tenants moving in at the start of 2020. Also, work on the 22 new houses would begin in November of this year.
Myszak told the RDC his aim is to provide available, affordable housing for the community.
