Vincennes finished runner up at yesterdays Southern Indiana Cal Ripken 12-U tournament. Vincennes finished up pool play on Saturday by beating Corydon 14-2 in four innings to receive the number two seed. Vincennes then won yesterdays first game…defeating third seeded Gibson Southern 10-0 in four innings but lost in the championship to Newbugh on a walk off homerun 6-5. Vincennes does advance to the Ohio Valley Regional in Mattoon, Illinois in two weeks.
Meanwhile, The Vincennes 11-U team finished second at yesterdays Southern Indiana tournament.
Vincennes won an elimination game against Gibson Southern before falling to Newburgh in the Championship. By being the southern Indiana state runner up, Vincennes moves on the Regional in two weeks in Lexington, Kentucky.
