KC Council Approves Improvements for Courthouse Emergency System

The Knox County Council has approved the use of 40-thousand dollars for improvements to the County Courthouse emergency alert system. The approval allows Vincennes Electronics to upgrade the system from an analog system to a digital one.
Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris believes the new security measures will shorten response time in case of an emergency. He also told Council the cost covers both the equipment, and its installation. The new security measures will replace the original equipment installed in the Courthouse ten years ago.
Council members approved the spending unanimously.
