The 8th Annual Celebrity Chef event will now take place on Saturday April 7th, 2018 from 5-8pm. This annual event is a fun, social occasion that showcases local celebrity men and women’s cooking talents by offering samplings to attendees of the chef’s most famous dishes! This is event will held at The Barn at New Leaf Fitness & Spa located at the corner of 13th & Walnut Street in Lawrenceville.Chefs donate their expense (or have business sponsor them) for the dish they prepare and time for serving at the event. Tickets are sold in advance at the cost of $25 per person; in doing this we will know how many people will be attending, so we can inform the chefs on how many they will be serving. Seating is limited so get your tickets early.
Chefs are asked to provide their recipe, approximately 3 weeks prior to the event. The recipes will be available to anyone attending. Chefs are asked to prepare a dish from the following categories: appetizer, soup, salad, entrée, side, or dessert. The Chamber will provide aprons and small sampling cups for the tastings. Celebrity Chefs can also be a “team” to include not more than two men/women who may provide up to two recipes. There will be judging for People’s Choice and prizes will be given. You can get your Celebrity Chef tickets at the Chamber Office located at 813 12th Street Lawrenceville. This year, a portion of the ticket sales will go toward the Fish & Loaves program. Fish and Loaves is a faith based, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Lawrence County committed to caring for hungry children in our county to include organizing, fundraising, packing and delivering meals for 268 students in the County as part of the weekend Backpack Program.
