SK Breaks 20 Game Losing String to LHS with Victory at Adams Coliseum; Rivet Loses Late to Northeast Dubois

The South Knox Spartans put the brakes on a 20 game losing streak to Vincennes Lincoln with a hard fought 37-34 win over the Alices at Adams Coliseum. The contest was tight all the way. South Knox led 10-8 at the end of one, they owned 18-17 advantage at halftime. Lincoln went up 27-25 at the third quarter stop. South Knox would build the lead to six in final quarter. The Alices battled back and had a shot to tie at the buzzer but a three point attempt was no good and South Knox hung on for the win.
For the 8-4 Spartans, Gage Bobe led the way with 14 and Brandon Fickling added 9.
For the 9-6 Alices, Sam Corrona and Tate Shuckman had 9 apiece.n

A slow start in the fourth quarter reversed a third quarter lead, and sent the Rivet Patriots to a 41-35 loss at Northeast Dubois.
Colton Mouzin led Rivet with 11; Trevon Taylor and Logan Keller added seven apiece. The Jeeps were led by ten each from Allen Kersteins and Reece Bauer
The Patriots will play Evansville Day School next on Friday night.
