It was another successful National Night Out for the Vincennes Police Department last night. The annual event happened from six to eight pm at Vincennes’ Rainbow Beach Family Aquatic Center.
The annual event featured booths giving out free t-shirts, and back to school equipment. Other activities focused on demonstrations about City Police equipment.

The event also features a demonstration by the City Police’s K-9 unit. This year’s display included gunshot-like sounds, a K-9 dragging a fully suited police member out of a car, and a K-9 sniffing out drugs. Luking says last night’s demonstration also featured something new.

The free National Night Out also featured free food, open swimming, and a relaxed atmosphere for the public to enjoy.
