Knox County Drug Court to Use Almost a Half-Million in Federal Dollars

The Knox County Drug Court has received a just-under 500-thousand dollar grant to enhance its operation. The Drug Court Enhancement Grant will help expand the program, increase supervision, provide team enhancement training, and study the program’s effectiveness.
The total state and federal grant funding for the program now totals over 750-thousand dollars. The combined funding will allow the Drug Court program to take in over 50 participants.
Since the program began in 2016, there have been 19 graduates from a program that takes between 18 and 24 months to complete. The Knox County Drug Court operates out of Knox Superior Court Two.
