Indiana State Police say a stolen SUV was recovered and its driver arrested in Daviess County Friday thanks to assistance from On-Star.
Sgt. Todd Ringle with the Indiana State Police says the stolen 2017 GMC Acadia was remotely disabled by On-Star when police were nearby.
It happed near Elnora in Daviess County.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police made the arrest.
The vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day in Evansville.
34-year-old Matthew Fetscher of Evansville is being held without bond in the Daviess County Security Center on preliminary charges of Auto Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle, and Reckless Driving.
