The North Knox Warriors put three players in double figures as they defeat Shakamak, 56-47 at North Knox.
North Knox was ahead 15-8 after one, and 25-16 at half. The Lakers cut the lead to 3, 35-32 after three, and had the lead shaved to one with a chance to take the lead when Cole Jones made a steal and basket to extend the lead. The Warriors would hit their free throws down the stretch to win it.
Brayden Thorne led 3 Warriors in double figures with 15. Reece Hammelman had 14, while Cole Jones added 13. Shakamak’s John Gould had 18 to lead all scorers. The North Knox JV also won easily against Shakamak to go to 4-1 on the year.
The varsity Warriors are now 1-4 on the year; they play again tonight against Eastern Greene.
