Purdue alum Tyler Trent was given the Disney Spirit Award Thursday night at the College Football Awards Show in Atlanta. Trent has gained national attention for his fight against bone cancer. The Disney Spirit Award is given to college football’s most inspirational person or team. Trent was escorted on stage by Purdue quarterback David Blough. Purdue football coach Jeff Brohm attended the ceremony. Trent broke down in tears when the crowd gave a round of applause for him.
