The Knox County Election Board has approved the use of a new polling place in place of Vincennes’ Washington Christian Center. The new voting place for that precinct will be at the KCARC’s 1972 Center on Old Wheatland Road.
The change from the Washington Christian Center is due to its use as part of the ongoing renovation of Vincennes elementary schools. The move away from the Washington Avenue building was to ensure the students’ safety.
The new precinct means that two precincts would be voting at the 1972 Building. The change would happen, pending its approval by the Knox County Commissioners. The Commissioners could consider the move as early as its meeting on Tuesday, November 15th.
