Both the Vincennes Lincoln girls and boys basketball teams were in action on Saturday. The Lady Alices journeyed to Mount Vernon to take on the Lady Wildcats. Lincoln jumped out to a 21-9 first quarter lead and never looked back in posting a 58-39 win. Mayce Lange had 16 points and ten rebounds. Darrin Carmean had 16 points and Alison Hein added 11 for the 15-3 Lady Alices.
Lincoln also won the JV game 46-10.
The Lady Alices play again Saturday afternoon at South Knox.
The Vincennes Lincoln boys team lost to visiting Evansville Bosse 70-41. The Alices trailed by just three, 27-24 at the half. Bosse then outscored Lincoln 28-4 in the third quarter for a 55-28 lead. Bosse then cruised thru the final quarter to improve to 8-4 on the season.
For the Alices, Hunter Hopwood had 15 points and Isaac Lane added 9. The Alices have lost 4 in a row and fall to 6-8.
Bosse also won the JV game 39-37. E. Smith and Ethan Bushey had 9 apiece.
The Alices are back in action Friday night at home with Mount Vernon.
