15th District Illinois Congressman John Shimkus is co-sponsoring four different anti-abortion bills in Congress. The biggest of the bills is one first offered in the last Congress; the bill would de-fund Planned Parenthood. The bill would take the group’s funding away for one year, and transfer the funds to community health centers across the nation.
The Planned Parenthood co-sponsorship is one of four pro-life related bills Shimkus has signed on to co-sponsor so far in Congress.
