The Vincennes University Lady Blazers picked up their 20th victory of the season by downing visiting Southwestern Illinois College 84-43 on Sophomore Night.
Jaynice Stovall led VU with 15 points. Fess Hawkins tossed in 14 points off the bench to go with 13 rebounds.
Lady Blazers are now 20-6 as they head into their matchup with Shawnee on Tuesday.
The Vincennes University Mens Basketball team defeated Southwestern Illinois College 98-78 to improve to 27-1 on the season.
Keith Clemons has a big night for the Blazers putting up a career high 30 points. Craig Porter scored 19 and grabbed 11 boards. Lony Francis and Kevin Osawe each added 12 in the win. Francis also had 10 boards for a double double.
The victory for Vincennes clinches them the top spot in the upcoming district tournament at Rend Lake.
The Blazers are on the road Tuesday at Shawnee.
