Fallen Terre Haute Police Officer Remembered During National Police Week

Indiana Senator Todd Young is remembering fallen law enforcement officers during National Police Week.
Yesterday at the Annual National Peace Officers Memorial Service in Washington, D.C. he honored Terre Haute Police officer Robert Pitts, saying he met with his family earlier that day.  Pitts gave his life in the line of duty last May.

President Trump also spoke and called the event a sacred commemoration.
He condemned hateful anti-police rhetoric and said ambushes and attacks on cops must end.
Young added his heart is heavy for all the Hoosier heroes who have given their lives for their community.
