The state of Indiana wants to hold the family that owns the company that makes OxyContin personally responsible for the state’s opioid crisis.
Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill filed a lawsuit on Monday against the Sackler family who owns Purdue Pharma.
Hill says the family personally benefited from the over-supply of opioid pain pills and the deceptive practices used to sell them.
