In action at the Indiana High School Baseball State Finals at Victory Field Monday, University took home the Class 1A Title, defeating Washington Township 4-1. University jumped out to a 3 run lead in the first inning and never looked back. The 4A matchup saw Hamilton Southeastern walk off Columbus East 3-2. Hamilton Southeastern led 1-0 after 1 inning. Columbus East tied the game in the top of the 3rd only to see Hamilton Southeastern regain the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Columbus East tied the game up in the Fifth inning. The game was tied in the bottom of the 7th when Hamilton Southeastern scored the winning run to end it.
In action today at the State Finals, 24-3 Edgewood is scheduled to face 35-1 Andrean at 5:30 for the Class 3A Game. In Class 2A, 22-8 Southridge matches up against 28-6 Alexandria Monroe. That game is set for 8:30.
