A Vincennes man is behind bars after being arrested for an armed robbery early this morning.
Just after 4 this morning, 24-year-old Samual Chambers was booked into the Knox County Jail. Vincennes City Police arrested Chambers after being called to the scene. Chambers is being preliminarily charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, causing bodily injury to another person. He is being held on 25-thousand dollars bond in the Knox County Jail.
Vincennes University Police arrested a Vincennes man following a traffic stop early Tuesday Evening. Officers stopped 60-year-old Davie Washington. Upon investigation, officiers arrested Washington for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance. Washintgon is being held without bond in the Knox County Jail.
Knox County Sheriff’s Officials arrested an Evansville woman on a failure to appear warrant Tuesday Afternoon. At 2:43 PM, Deputies arrested 45-year-old Michelle Burke on the warrant. She was booked into the Knox County Jail.
As of this morning, 188 inmates were being housed in the Knox County Jail.
