SK School Board Starts Budget Process With Larger Class Sizes

The South Knox School Board has started the process to approve the 2020 budget at last night’s session at South Knox. The Board gave Superintendent Tim Grove permission to advertise the budget for the next year.
South Knox is expected to gain some money in its general fund, due to a larger student population. South Knox High School principal David Cochenour says one factor is a large seventh-grade class at South Knox…

Cochenour also knows there are more teachers to keep the larger class– and other classes– down to size…

School officials will present the budget to Department of Local Government Finance officials next month. The presentation allows the D-L-G-F to adjust both the rest of this year’s budget, and next year’s, to fit the money available.
