Today is the final day for the Bicknell Labor Day Festival. The annual event features food, events, and entertainment throughout the City of Bicknell.
The big event of the day is the annual Bicknell Labor Day Parade. That will start at noon in downtown Bicknell. This year is a special year for the Festival, as it is also a celebration of the City’s 150th anniversary. The community of Bicknell was founded in 1869.
The parade theme this year is “Remember When.” It also remembers Bicknell’s sesquicentennial as a community this year.
Some of the food areas to be open throughout the day today are the Tri-Kappa Fish House at 517 West Third; the Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church Pizza Parlor at 605 West Fourth; and both the Word of Life Church coney stand and Bicknell United Methodist Church ice cream stand. Both are located at South Side Park.
The parade and food stands are open to the public.
