A vacated building along State Road 67 in Bicknell is slated to get new life in the future.
The Knox County Area Plan Commission has approved a re-zoning for the former Dollar General building. The building’s official address is at 629 West Eleventh Street. Developer Hamstra Buildings, Incorporated plans to put a new Family Dollar store in that location. The former Dollar General vacated that building for a Dollar General Market store on the north edge of Bicknell.
The A-P-C move was needed, since the land was zoned R-1 Residential The rezoning gives it its required zoning of C-1 local business. The A-P-C approved the rezoning unanimously.
