An eight year-old boy was struck and killed earlier Friday evening in a vehicle-pedestrian accident on State Road 67 in Bicknell. The accident happened just south of State Road 159, between the Bicknell McDonalds and the Bicknell Skateland roller rink. The boy was identified as 8-year-old Micah Chambers of Bicknell.
The accident happened around 6:50 pm when a vehicle driven by Joey McDaniel, of Pineville, Louisiana, struck Chambers as he was crossing from the Bicknell McDonalds to the roller rink. Chambers was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he died just before eight-30 p-m. Knox County Sheriff’s Department officials are still investigating the accident at this time.
