Cub League Practices Suspended Through April Fifth

Due to concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19)and protection of our players, coaches, parents, volunteers and fans, we are implementing the following action immediately:    All practices of Vincennes Cub League teams are suspended through Sunday April 5, 2020.  All Vincennes Cub League facilities will be closed during this period.   This time frame coincides with the recent closure of the local schools.    The VCL board will reassess the situation in early April.   Currently the 63rd consecutive season of Cub League Baseball is scheduled to begin with games on Saturday April 11th.   Any decision on pushing back the game schedule will be made at a later date.   Team drafts for the Rookie Leagues, Junior League and Senior League took place this week.   Tee Ball teams will be organized on March 25th and Babe Ruth teams on March 30th.   Buddy Ball registrations are underway and scheduled to open with a game on May 2nd.

At this difficult time we are most interested in the health and welfare of our kids and families.  All decisions moving forward will be made with utmost caution.   When play resumes, we will institute safe practices as not having handshakes and high fives.

Thanks to all who support Vincennes Cub League.  Any questions can be referred to me.
