The Knox County Commissioners approved an continuing resolution in response to the current global coronavirus pandemic. The resolution extends the County’s state of health emergency for 30 days. That will push the emergency to late April. The other major part of the approved measure would scale back visitors at the Knox County Courthouse until at least April seventh.
The Courthouse will open to essential services only. That includes Court hearing in Knox Circuit Court and Superior Court One. Those with hearings should call their attorney for information, or call the Court if they have no lawyer representing them.
The Commissioners also announced Knox Superior Court Two will be closed until April tenth. All hearings in Superior Court Two will be delayed until after that date.
The pandemic-related resolution was approved unanimously.
