Indiana State Police report a 60-year-old Jasper woman was struck and killed Friday night while operating her lawnmower.
Police say Ruth Meyer was struck and killed on West 675 North by a car driven by 62-year-old Joann Voelkel.
Police say Voelkel was unable to avoid colliding with Meyer’s utility tractor.
Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation shows that alcohol or drugs did not contribute to the crash which remains under investigation.
