Gibson County authorities stopped a car to check on an equipment violation.  Authorities identified a passenger in the vehicle as 41 year-old James Short.

Short was found wanted on a criminal confinement warrant out of Gibson County. A further search found marijuana and other controlled substances in his possession.  Short tried to flee the area, but was caught a short distance later.
