Vincennes Police are warning the public of a scam primarily targeting elderly persons in which the intended victim is mailed a check along with an explanation of what to do with the check.
Police say the scammers hope the victims will cash the check and follow the instructions which in turn allows access to the victim’s bank account.
Police ask you to share the information with your parents, grandparents or elderly friends.
