(NK defeats Loogootee in baseball)
The North Knox Warriors baseball team moved to 5-0 with a 12-6 Blue Chip Conference victory at home vs. Loogootee. The Warriors trailed 4-0 early, when a five-run second inning turned things around for North Knox. They also added runs in the third, fourth, fifth, and six as part of their 12 run evening.
Cole Jones had a great evening both on the mound and at the plate. At the plate, Jones was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and five runs batted in. From the mound, he also started a double play that killed a Loogootee rally in the 3rd inning. Holtman Doades also added four hits on the game, with Will Sloan supplying three hits. Overall, the Warriors rang up 13 hits in the game.
(LHS Defeats TH South in 6 Innings)
The Lincoln High School baseball team got a 14-4 victory at Terre Haute South last night in six innings. A five run second led the Alices to the victory, topped by a grand slam by Blake Mincey.
(NK Loses to NE Dubois in softball)
The North Knox softball team lost at home to Northeast Dubois 9-4 yesterday. A six-run fourth inning led the Jeeps to the win. Phoebe Worstell led with a home run for the Lady Warriors.
(LHS Defeats Pike Central)
The Lincoln High School tennis team defeated Pike Central 3-2, with singles wins for Savannah Purdom, Ashtyn Hillenbrand, and Macey Fisher.
