The Vincennes City Council has approved on first reading a seven-million dollar bond issue for Vincennes Water Utilities. The bond issue is for various Department water improvements — including a new water tank on Vincennes’ east side.
Vincennes Water Utilities general manager Kirk Bouchie says the bond will be internally financed through Vincennes Water Utilities — and that it will not result in a rate increase.
The money will come from the retirement of other bond issues in the Department. State officials had earlier sought a state grant to fund the issue, but was turned down for the funding.
