Washington Defeats LHS Girls; SK Girls Lose Lead Late, Defeated by Linton

Washington outscored Vincennes Lincoln 22-5 in the third quarter and rolled to a 61-39 win over the Lady Alices.

Alaina Thorne paced Washington with 21 points while Kencia Levasseur added 20,  Dani Kroeger led Lincoln with 15 points and Gracie Kramer chipped in with 13.

The Loss drops Lincoln to 2-4 while the tenth rated Lady Hatchets move to 5-1.


The South Knox girls basketball team fell to visiting Linton 38-32.  The Lady Spartans led 17-13 at half, but saw the Lady Miners outscore them 25-15 in the second half to take the win.  Macie Cochenour led South Knox with nine points in the game; Sydney Riker had six.

In girls basketball action tonight 4-0 Vincennes Rivet plays at Washington Catholic at 6:30.  “Ballin for Boxes” will be held tonight as part of the girls game between Vincennes Rivet and Washington Catholic at the Birdcage.

Admission to the game will be free with a box of cereal.  All donations will benefit “Feed My Sheep” ministries.
