Sports Recap for Tuesday, 11/15

(NK Defeats WC)


In Girls Basketball action from last night, North Knox jumped out to a 30-2 first quarter lead and rolled to a

69-11 victory over Washington Catholic.  For the 4-0 Lady Warriors, Lexi Primus and Madison McCory had

13 points apiece.  Alex McKinley and Brunna Collins added ten points apiece.  All eleven North Knox

players scored in the contest.

Staying with girls’ basketball, North Knox makes a three-step jump to number six in this weeks

Class 2-A Poll.  Forest Park remains number one while South Spencer is honorable mention.  Rivet tumbles

from two to number six in the Class A Poll.  Lanesville remains number one.  Tecumseh is third,

Northeast Dubois is ninth and North Central tenth.  Wood Memorial is an honorable mention.

And in three A, Gibson Southern is ninth and Evansville Memorial an honorable mention.


(Middle School Recap)

The South Knox boys’ 8th grade was defeated 34-23 by Parkview last night at home.  Linton Peterson led the South Knox 8th graders with 11 points and seven rebounds.  Cohen Marvel added six.


The South Knox 8th grade girls defeated Haubstadt 36-21.  Kendal Hill had 16 for the Lady Spartans, with Kelissa Lavely adding six.  The South Knox 7th grade defeated Haubstadt 30-19, behind eight each from Brynley Millspaugh and Rainey Lewis.  Lewis also added 8 rebounds.

(Lange Leads VU to Victory)

Vincennes Lincoln grad Maycee Lange had 23 points, including 18 in the third quarter, as the Vincennes University Lady Blazers defeated Wayne State 88-42 in Detroit.  Katrina Litte (LIT-tee) added 17.
