Police apprehended a Farmersburg man this morning after leading them on a three-county chase that ended in Knox County. The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old Jacob Greggs, who was wanted on a felony warrant in Vigo County, fled a traffic stop on Erie Canal Road in Terre Haute. The pursuit went south into southern Sullivan County where an officer was able to successfully deploy “stop sticks” causing Greggs’ vehicle’s tires to deflate. Greggs continued south into Knox County where he crashed into a ditch. The chase ended off U-S 41 near Emison.
Greggs was taken into custody and arrested on preliminary charges of Felony Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness, and Reckless Driving. He was also arrested on the Vigo County warrant for Battery by Bodily Waste on a Law Enforcement Officer.
