Researchers at Purdue University have discovered a compound they say could revolutionize cancer treatment. Professor Zhong-Yin Zhang says it took two years of hard work to synthesize the compound known as TP1L. Put simply, he says the compound fights cancerous cells in the body from the inside and not the outside. Zhang says the compound also stimulates the body’s immune system to specifically attack cancer cells. He says now that they have discovered what it can do, Zhang says now the push begins to find a company that can work with the school to get approval for use by the FDA.
