Roseanna “Bice” Hartley, aged 70, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024. Born on March 12, 1953, in Vincennes, IN, she was the cherished daughter of the late Esther “Sears” Bice and Jesse Bice, and a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
Roseanna was blissfully united in matrimony to her beloved husband, Jack Lee Hartley, Sr., on November 4, 1970, in a beautiful ceremony in Vincennes, IN. Their loving union was blessed with children, Victoria M Phillips (Greg) of Odon, IN, Billie Jo Finley of Vincennes, IN, Jack Lee Hartley, Jr (Brenda Osborn) of Bicknell, IN, and Mariann K Chambers of Vincennes, IN. As a dedicated homemaker, Roseanna poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing home filled with joy and kindness.
Family was the core of Roseanna’s life, a fact that shone brightly through her cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Amber Marie Hartley, Dillon Phillips, Cody Phillips, Andrea Lang, Brent Chambers, Jesse Chambers, Leland, Emma, and Zoey and four great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her two brothers, Raymond F. Bice (Brigitte) of Vincennes, IN, and Jesse G Bice (Suetta) of Fritchton, IN, as well as her sisters Lindsay K Beanblossom and Sharon Sue Turner, both of Vincennes, IN.
Roseanna’s interests reflected her tender heart; she found serenity in attending the Salvation Army Church as often as she could and sought pleasure in her coin collection. However, nothing brought her more joy than the moments spent with her family.
Her gentle spirit, enduring love, and kind-hearted nature will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Roseanna’s legacy of love, family, and faith will forever be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those she touched.
