The United Way of Knox County has taken in nearly 240-thousand dollars in campaign contributions in the latest fund-raising campaign. Now, the group is meeting to send that money to community non-profits to use that funding.
United Way of Knox County director Mark HIll knows the allocation process gives Allocation Committee members a new perspective on the donor agencies. Hill says asking questions– and getting answers– from the applying agencies is a large part of the next step of the process,
The United Way funds are given out on the project-by-project basis to the donor agencies.
