Cooling Centers Ready in Vincennes This Summer

The weather is cooling down today from highs in the 70’s the last few days.  However, the warmer weather earlier this week leads people to think about hot summer days to come.
To prepare, the United Way of Knox County will provide the public with locations of various cooling centers across the county.  United Way of Knox County director Mark Hill gives a couple of cooling center locations already available as needed this summer– the Knox County Public Library, and the Knox County  Salvation Army.
In addition, City officials plan to open a cooling center as needed this summer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  That location was also used as a warming center for subzero conditions earlier this year.
