The Knox County Health Department says in an effort to break down barriers to acquiring CPR certification for teachers, and acknowledge the challenging job they do, it is offering group CPR at no cost to Knox County’s teachers.
The first group of teachers gathered at the Hedde Center on April 24th.
Six certified CPR instructors provided Heartsaver CPR and Automated External Defibrillator training to 41 county teachers.
In the past, this type of CPR class could cost up to $150 for the 2-year certification.
