Debra Ruth Adams, 70, passed away on May 8, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Debi was born on July 30, 1953, in Vincennes, the daughter of Charles and Barbara (McMillen) Summers. She married Gary Richard Adams on January 29, 1972.
A cherished member of the community, Debi attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and had a passion for activities such as Bingo, sewing, and embroidery. She also was a member of the Home Ec Club. The love she had for her family was evident in the countless hours she spent attending her grandchildren’s activities and events, always cheering them on with unwavering support.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Adams of Vincennes; daughters, Melinda Decker and her husband Scott of Vincennes, Kathi Berry and her husband Chris of Vincennes; son, Gary Lee Adams and his wife Aleah of Oaktown; sister, Beth Hathaway of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Chad Berry, Margaret Berry, Lane Adams and Cooper Adams. Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Barbara Summers and her brother Michael Summers.
As we remember Debra Adams, we recall a kind and loving soul who brought joy to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who know her. Friends may visit with Debi’s family from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
