The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public that there have been reports of scammers in the Fort Branch area asking to do estimates for roof repairs from Sunday night’s storms.
The sheriff’s office says to always check credentials and the background of subjects before paying them or allowing them to do any work.
This type of scam is not exclusive to Gibson County and residents of other area counties who suffered storm damage should also be on alert.
