Vincennes City officials are preaching safety and caution around various traffic construction areas across Vincennes. The two biggest are the continuing work on Washington Avenue, and the coming work on Hart Street.
Vincennes Police Department spokesman Aaron Luce gives the main virtue to have while the work is going on– and that is to use patience. One positive already is fewer, if any, stranded vehicles trying to get through the Washington Avenue construction zone. Luce credits that to people getting used to the alternate traffic patterns around the work.
On the coming Hart Street work next week, City officials remind everyone Hart Street will be closed to through traffic on the nights work is happening. That work will start Tuesday of next week, and continue through Friday
