Groundbreaking is set for June 19th for the new Agro-Renew plant on Elkhorn Road just south of Vincennes. The plant will take produce waste and turn it into various bio-plastics.
Knox County Indiana Economic Development director Chris Pfaff also mentions a different growth area– support companies for the main Agro-Renew plant. Pfaff also feels the potential for Agro-Renew– and the whole bio-plastics industry– is virtually limitless.
Part of that investment is moving up the timetable to complete the entire plant. Was was a three-phase project will now be done at once. One reason for the expedited construction is anticipation of a good market for the materials.
