The campaign continues toward raising funds for improvements at the Vincennes Cub League complex. The State of Indiana could give the group a matching grant of up to 50-thousand dollars for dollars raised in a Crowdfunding campaign. The fund-raiser lasts from now through July 7th.
The Vincennes Cub League is raising the funds for improvements to Veterans’ Field. The planned improvements include bleachers, press boxes, improved irrigation, sod improvements, along with dugout and scoreboard upgrades.
The field, designed for 13 to 16 year-old players, is part of the overall Vincennes Cub League complex.
The state’s “CreatINg Places” grant will match donations, dollar for dollar, up to 50-thousand dollars. If successful, that would raise 100-thousand dollars for the work.
