Various construction projects– both large and small– are affecting people across Vincennes this construction season. Two of the larger projects are the ongoing Washington Avenue work, as next week’s reconfiguration of Hart Street. Vincennes Police Department spokesman Aaron Luce is still pushing patience as the best virtue while the work is going on.
The “road diet” project to slim Hart Street from four lanes to three is set to begin next week. The road will be closed to through traffic during the nights and overnights the work will happen. Luce expects V-P-D officers to have a presence in that area during the nights the work is going on.
Other projects include road and curb ramp work across parts of Vincennes. Drivers are reminded to slow down and watch for crews in construction areas.:
