Summer doesn’t officially arrive until Thursday– but the first real summer heat wave is here now. Temperatures rose into the mid-90’s yesterday, and are forecaster to return there, or above that, today.
National Weather Service forecaster Cody Moore warns everyone the heat index could reach triple digits today. Moore believes some rain relief is possible this week– but only in isolated spots.
At this time, in this area this week , highs look like they will stay in the 90’s all week, with lows in the lower to mid 70’s.
