Now that groundbreaking is done for the new Agro-Renew plant, one of the next steps is support businesses for the main facility. One place that hopes to be at the center of that growth is the Pantheon Business Theatre in downtown Vincennes.
The Agro-Renew idea started 16 months ago at the Pantheon. Pantheon director Nichole Like believes it just makes sense that support businesses would also be considered there. Agro-Renew’s plan is to take area prduce waste and turn it into bio-plastic pellets. Like says although no plastics support industries are incubating at the Pantheon– but some ag-related support startups are.
Agro-Renew officials hope to be up to full capacity at the Elkhorn Road plant by sometime in 2026.
