Work continues on various street projects across Vincennes. The largest project is the season-long work on Washington Avenue, but another major change is in place now on part of Hart Street.
The current “road diet” work on Hart Street is also causing traffic to adjust to a two driving lane setup, down from four, between 15th Street and Veterans’ Drive. Mayor Jochum once again points to safety in that relatively small area as the reason for the lane re-configuration.
Among other upcoming City projects is fixing Washington Avenue from Emison to Saint Clair. That project is expected to start in the spring of 2027.
