The Knox County Commissioners expect to update parts of the County’s space repurposing study next month. At last night’s Commissioners’ session, they proposed to discuss parts of the plan sometime in August.
The space study is needed, due to the emptying of the former Knox County Jail facility on Eighth Street in Vincennes. The building was vacated by the Knox County Community Corrections program earlier t his year, as it moved next door to the Knox County Jail on Old Decker Road.
The first part of the project to be considered is the design work, since the financial piece of the plan is still under discussion.
