The Vincennes Mayor’s Office has announced an information meeting is scheduled for Thursday on placing State Road 441 in Vincennes on what is called a ”road diet.”
It will take place at Vincennes City Hall at 5:30.
State Road 441 runs from US 41 along Willow Street to 6th Street, from 6th to Vigo, and from Vigo to the Lincoln Memorial Bridge..
A portion of Hart Street was recently placed on a “road diet.”
Basically, the four-lane street was made one lane in each direction with a center turn lane and bike lanes.
